Questions
Will the tests place fake orders?
No. Tests add one item to a fresh cart, open checkout, confirm the contact form appears, then stop and empty the cart. No payment details are ever entered, so no orders are created.
Will it slow down my store?
No. A test is a few page views every few hours, less than a single shopper. Store Guard identifies itself in its browser signature so you can filter it from analytics.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Store Guard tests your public storefront. A Shopify app with deeper checks, like alerts for failed order confirmation emails, is on the way.
My store is password protected
Add your storefront password to the store in your dashboard and Store Guard will unlock it before testing.
Does it work with my platform and theme?
Speed, SEO, accessibility, link and script-error checks work on any store. The full add-to-cart and checkout journey runs on Shopify today (Online Store 2.0 themes and common page builders), with WooCommerce next. If a check can't find something on your store, it tells you instead of raising a false alarm.
